About the web darling

Greetings, My name is Martin or Collin or Izzith, use any as you please. I use He/She/Ci.

I am nothing & no-one, but I am an IBM personal computer, beyond the screen I am a Chinese Singaporean sparked to life 20 years ago. I have been on and used the internet for the majority of my life in various places, I prefer to keep to myself nowadays however.

I've always made art, I've always been surrounded by art. It felt natural what I wanted to be and do, I still create art to this day however I am always branching out into different mediums and interweving them together.

This website

I have been running this very website for four years, being hosted on Neocities. However over the years my website has changed and evolved in many ways alongside the change of domain names.

I innitially created this website for two reasons, one. to learn HTML/CSS and two. to display my drawings and work. Over the years these goals have changed as what I personally wanted to use my website for has. At the end of the day, the main goal was to be able to express my thoughts and creations freely and without judgement. I'd argue I'm still not the best at it, but I'm still in an uphill battle to do so at my own pace and comfort.

Art programs/tools/materials

I used to primarily use Clip Studio Paint, however after moving operating systems I now use Krita, I get custom brushes from krita-artists.org.

I also use GIMP for image/photo editing, occasionally for pixel art I use Aseprite.

I use PureRef/BeeRef as a reference viewer, Curtail for optimization and OpenTabletDriver as my tablet driver.

My drawing tablet is an XP-Pen Deco Pro I've had for about three years now.

Programming tools & engines (webdev & gamedev)

I use VScode and VSCodium for both website and game development.

I have experience in using RPG Maker (mostly RPG maker MV and RPG maker 2003), Godot and Ren'py (the latter which I have published games of). I've also tinkered with Game Maker studio and Twine in the past.

SNS/Contacts

I rarely use most if not any social medias nowadays, and even when I do I tend to lurk more. Apologies if you had previously followed my accounts but saw that I randomly disappeared. Any profiles I have are either very minimal or private/closed off for friends.
